Since June 2018, I have been deeply honored to serve as a contracted Reiki Comfort Therapist for MultiCare Home Health and Hospice Comfort Therapy, providing Reiki to patients and families during life’s most significant and sacred transition. In this space, the goal shifts from "doing" to "being". My role is to provide a specialized layer of support that focuses entirely on the patient's quality of life and emotional well-being through the gentle power of Reiki.
Unlike clinical treatments, Reiki Comfort Therapy is designed to soothe. It is an intentional space where the "clutched" energy of pain, anxiety, or transition is invited to soften.
The Somatic Whisper: In my years of hospice service, I have learned to listen to the body's subtle cues. Even when a patient can no longer speak, I can "feel" where the heaviness lies and use Reiki to provide a sense of lightness and ease.
A Shared Peace: Reiki Comfort Therapy is a gift for the entire room. As I work with the patient, the frequency of peace often radiates outward, providing a much-needed grounding force for the family and caregivers present.
Professional Integration: Having worked within the MultiCare Hospice framework for nearly a decade, I am deeply familiar with the delicate balance of providing energetic support alongside a medical team.
"In the Hospice Comfort Therapy department, we don't look for a 'fix'—we look for a 'rest.' I am here to help your loved one find that rest."
When a loved one is in a state of transition, the environment can often feel clinical or overwhelming. I bring a sense of sacred space directly to the bedside—whether in a private residence, an assisted living facility, or a hospital room.
Palliative Support: For those managing chronic illness, I focus on the "Mental and Physical Release" we discussed, helping to ease the nervous system and manage the "heaviness" of long-term care.
Hospice Transition: Drawing on 8 years of experience in the MultiCare Hospice Comfort Therapy department, I provide a stabilizing frequency for patients in the final stages of life.
Family Respite: These sessions often serve as a "vibrational anchor" for the entire family, offering a moment of shared peace and emotional breathing room during a difficult time.
"I have learned that the heart never stops seeking peace. I am here to help them find it."
When words are no longer accessible, Reiki provides a quiet, restorative dialogue. For those in a non-verbal state, this practice offers a profound way to be "heard" through the body's subtle energy and the calming of the nervous system. By transitioning the spirit from a state of doing to a state of being, I create a safe, energetic space where emotional release and spiritual clarity can occur without the need for a single spoken word.
I am experienced in working alongside medical teams to ensure that energetic comfort is seamlessly integrated into clinical care. I provide all necessary elements to create a peaceful environment for the session with profound respect for the individual journey. I provide a steady, compassionate witness to ensure every moment is met with dignity and calm.
Healing and peace should not be limited by location. Every bedside is transformed into a private retreat. By bringing the stillness of a sanctuary directly to individuals in hospice or receiving palliative care throughout the Puyallup and Greater Tacoma area, I create a soothing environment where the nervous system can truly rest.
In the sacred space of transition, I believe that peace is a physical, emotional, and energetic right. By weaving together years of clinical hospice experience with the intuitive warmth of Reiki, I offer a bridge between the body's need for comfort and the soul's need for stillness. My mission is to ensure that every breath is held in a sanctuary of presence, dignity, and light.
I begin by creating a quiet, intentional space around the bedside—whether in a home or a care facility. There is no need for the patient to move or speak; the session is a gentle, non-invasive flow of energy designed to soothe the nervous system and invite a deep state of "being." Families often notice a visible softening in their loved one—a release of tension that brings a restorative stillness to the entire room.
Gentle presence for life’s delicate transitions.
Drawing on nearly a decade of experience in hospice care, I provide specialized Reiki support for patients and families navigating transition. This "Comfort Therapy" offers an "Ethereal Aura" of peace, presence, and profound, restorative stillness.
This work is intentionally designed to complement—not replace—existing medical protocols. By providing a non-pharmacological layer of comfort, we softly support the care plan and medications already in place, offering energetic alignment that reduces tension.
Grief and exhaustion affect everyone. The peaceful resonance of our session often extends well beyond the bedside, offering a moment of quiet, restorative stillness for the surrounding family members and caregivers present.
Providing a mobile hospice sanctuary throughout Puyallup and the surrounding Pierce County area, within 15 miles of downtown Puyallup. We meet you exactly where your loved one is most comfortable, facilitating healing without the need for movement or touch.
A Presence-Based Approach: In hospice and palliative care, the "clock" takes a backseat to the patient's comfort. Sessions are fluid and typically range from 30 to 75 minutes, depending entirely on the patient's energy levels and the needs of the "Circle" (family and caregivers) present that day.
Sliding Scale Investment: I am committed to making "Comfort Therapy" accessible during life’s most challenging transitions. We offer a sliding scale based on a per-visit basis, regardless of the specific duration of that day's resonance.
Standard Visit: $75 – $125
Please choose the point on the scale that honors your current financial circumstances while allowing this specialized care to remain sustainable.
If you feel called to bring a sense of sanctuary and energetic peace to this journey, I am here to support you and your loved one.
